Forever... - Judy Blume

Hello Lovelies!

7 out of 10!

Goodreads summary:

Katherine and Michael meet at a New Year's Eve party. They're attracted to each other, they grow to love each other. And once they've decided their love is forever, they make love.

It's the beginning of an intense and exclusive relationship, with a future all planned. Until Katherine's parents insist that she and Michael put their love to the test with a summer apart...

Okay I will be honest, this book was recommended to me and at first I loved it. I thought Michael and Katherine's relationship was sweet and real and I was in love with it for about 75% of it. Then, as the book started to wind down, it collapsed. I know that I'm a hopeless romantic and I have accepted the fact that not every author likes the - wrap it up in a neat and lovely package where everyone will live happily ever after - outline but this book made me want to throw against the wall.

It happens all of a sudden and you really don't see it coming, or at least I didn't. I was so angry when I finished this book I wanted to scream. If you don't mind an ending that is not peaches and cream then I recommend this book but if you're like me then I would read it with caution. It is a good book so I would recommend reading it, just be prepared.

I am stock piling reviews at the moment while simultaneously trying to finish Beautiful Creatures and wrap up everything for classes this semester so please try to be patient with me. Once I get a break in school I will be able to read more - hopefully.

As always, leave me a comment letting me know books you would like for me to review.

Thanks for reading!

Book Haul 4.18.13

Hello Lovelies!

So I spent the last of my birthday gift card money today after class and I thought I'd show you all what I got. But first I have to rant, they rearranged everything in my Books-A-Million and I got completely turned around. Thankfully an employee noticed the confused look on my face and pointed me in the right direction. I hate the place they moved it to, it's right by the coffee shop and it's too loud and the coffee smell gives me a headache after a while. But on the bright side, the set up within the section is SO much better than before.

So now the rant is over and on with the books!

The Elite by Kiera Cass

This is the sequel to The Selection and I am completely ecstatic! I have been waiting for this book for at least 6 months and I had no idea it had come out. When I saw it in the store today, I almost squealed. It will most likely be the next book I read when I finish Beautiful Creatures and the only reason I'm not starting right now is because I promised you all I would review Beautiful Creatures.

Before I review The Elite, I will back up and review The Selection for you all.

Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

This is the sequel to Beautiful Creatures and I am looking forward to it. I haven't finished the original yet but I knew that if I didn't get it I'd be mad once I did finish. I will definitely be doing a review on this one.

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

I'll be honest. I judged a book by its' cover. I was drawn to this book because of the sequels' cover. It's beautiful and it made me want to read it so I got the first one. :) It sounds interesting though and I'm looking forward to reading it.

For those of you wondering, I did get one other thing but it wasn't a cutesy item. I do not believe in spending good money in a book store on something other than books. It's ridiculous. I got a journal with London on the cover. I carry journals just about everywhere with me so I get a new one every chance I get.

I will be posting reviews before I review Beautiful Creatures because I have a stockpile of books waiting to be reviewed so bare with me and as soon as I am finished with Beautiful Creatures I will review it. It is finals time though so please be kind.

Let me know in a comment how you like these book haul posts and if there is any other type of posts you want me to give a try.

Thanks for reading!

Fallen - Lauren Kate

9 out of 10!

Goodreads summary:

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.

Hello Lovelies!

I love this book! It's about resurrection and fallen angels and everything that is romantic in my head. There are so many twists and turns you hardly ever know which way is up, who is really who they say there are, and what lies ahead.

I love Daniel. He tries to keep his distance and just cannot stay away from her. He knows that to keep her safe he has to stay away but how can he when the campus golden boy (not to mention who he is outside of campus) has set his sights on Luce. Daniel's character is amazingly real and has different sides to him that makes me as a reader fall in love with him.

The only reason this did not get a perfect 10 is because I have only read it once but I am planning to get the sequel very soon and will need to at least reread the ending so me not reading it again is most likely not a permanent thing.

More reviews to come! As always leave me a comment with suggestions on what you want me to review next.

Thanks for reading!

The Secret Year by Jennifer R. Hubbard

8 out of 10

Hello Lovelies!

The Secret Year is about a boy named Colt and his relationship with the now dead Julia. Their relationship was kept secret from everyone else in their lives. Their year together was documented by Julia in a journal that, when she dies, is given to Colt by her brother. Colt spends the better part of the next year reliving his year with Julia to the demise of his relationships.

That is really the best description I can give about this book. It's complicated to try to explain but a good read. It would have gotten a better review if I hadn't been ready to strangle Colt 99% of the time. He spends the whole book trying to make up his mind and trying to get his mind off Julia.

I wish there would have been more about Julia and he would have made up with Kirby by the end but it's a good sad story. It's not one that made me cry but it definitely almost got there at one point. Good read and I recommend it.

Next on the list - I am reading Beautiful Creatures at the moment and should be finished within the next few days. I will try to get a review done soon after that.

As always, leave me a comment with suggestions about what you would like for me to review next and thanks for reading. :)

Sometimes Never - Cheryl McIntyre

Hello Lovelies!

9 out of 10!

Sometimes Never is about a girl and a boy who seem very different. The girl is loud and outspoken and always speaks her mind. The boy tends to remain quiet, observant. He sees the girl and mentally claims her for his own.

Mason sees Hope for the first time before his first day at his new school. She looks carefree yet territorial. Mason befriends Hope's brother and without realizing it, is thrust into her world, in which he cannot get enough of her.

When Hope's dark secret comes out, it makes Mason realize he will do anything for this girl. If only Hope would realize it too.

This book is awesome. It's a little dark but in a way that never gives the reader any doubt about Mason's feelings. It doesn't make a perfect 10 because it does not have that hook that makes me want to read it over and over again.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who like darker romances.

I'm trying to get more reviews up quickly to make up for my lack of reviews I have been able to get out lately. As always, leave me a comment with any suggestions on what I should read next.

Thanks for reading!

Wanted - Kelly Elliot

Good Afternoon Lovelies!

I have been away for a while because this semester has been insane! I'm back now with my latest review. :)

10 out of 10!

This book is amazing! Ellie has always been told by her mother that she will never be wanted by anyone. After she caught her only 2 boyfriends cheating on her, she's starting to believe it. When she meets Gunner, her brother, Jefferson's, best friend, she has a hard time believing that he could want to be with a person like her.

When Gunner meets Ellie his world turns upside down. He learns about her abusive mother and realizes it will take a lot to get Ellie to understand how she feels about him. He wants to show Ellie that she is wanted.

This book is a roller coaster. I have literally read it 6 times and cannot get enough of it. Gunner is a sweetheart and every character has their own amount of humor. There is never a dull moment with these characters.

The book is slightly a more mature read so be warned.

I HIGHLY recommend this book and cannot wait for the sequel.

Sorry for my lack of reviews lately. I promise there are many more coming up and I'm going to the book store later today. Leave me a comment if you have any suggestions. Thanks for reading!
